The joint laboratory has established good substantive cooperative and research relationship with internationally renowned universities and research institutions, and has undertaken a large number of major international scientific research projects. The research results have greatly improved the urban intelligent disaster prevention capability, minimized the disaster risk and can met the needs of urban disaster prevention and emergency command. Relevant research aims to strengthen the personnel exchange in multiple industries at home and abroad, promote interdisciplinary innovation, accommodation and development, promote relevant technologies and achievements of intelligent disaster prevention and emergency management and control, and promote the progress and improvement of the scientific system of disaster prevention and emergency management and control.
1). In cooperation with International Islamic University, Pakistan, the National key R & D plan, strategic international cooperation key special project “Technical R & D and application demonstration with cooperation for viscoelastic damping recovery and retrofit of post-earthquake buildings” are conducted. The first seismic suppression and mitigation project in Pakistan is carried out in the Vison High School, Pakistan, as shown in Figure 1, It has made important contributions to promote the development of China-Pakistan friendship and disaster prevention and reduction.

2). In cooperation with Moscow State University, Russia, the corporation team has jointly completed the China-Russia International Cooperation and Exchange Project supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, developed magnetorheological elastomer damping materials, introduced, learned and developed the elastic preparation technology based on soft matrix from Russia, and the loss factor is 30% ahead of similar materials in the world, as shown in Figure 2.

3). In cooperation with Sungkyunkwan University, South Korea, the corporation team has developed viscoelastic materials with high energy dissipation and low cost. Sungkyunkwan University has developed a new viscoelastic slotted steel plate damping device based on the viscoelastic materials developed by Chinese partner, and carried out the life-cycle optimization analysis of viscoelastic damping structure. Southeast University has carried out seismic hybrid test on the basis of the optimization analysis results of South Korea. The corporation team jointly promoted the application of new viscoelastic materials and damping devices in Gusan High School in South Korea, as shown in Figure 3.

4). In cooperation with the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, a 20 ton MR integrated demonstration system and a 2-ton MR integrated demonstration system have been developed. The innovation characteristics of the demonstration system is the development of a control system integrating energy, control, storage and display togrther. The shaking table test of MR damper are conducted with Hong Kong Polytechnic University, and the intelligent seismic control demonstration system purchased by Hong Kong Polytechnic University in the Civil Engineering Laboratory of the University is shown in Fig. 4.
