2022年11月18日—19日，“2022年城镇给水排水新技术交流会暨江苏省给水排水学术交流年会”在江苏省盐城建湖召开。大会同时公布了第四届江苏省大学生给水排水创新、创业与实践竞赛的获奖名单。本次大赛累计收到全省参赛作品134份，其中本科生58份，研究生76份。
本届竞赛我校由谈超群老师组织了15组队伍代表东南大学参赛(本科生4组，研究生11组)，我院市政工程系学子共获一等奖3项、二等奖2项、三等奖3项(表1)。其中20级本科生冯亦鸣等的作品《基于晶体硼的节能减排型（类）Fenton新工艺及装备》荣获本科生创意类一等奖；20级研究生黄婷婷等的作品《Effects of bromide ion on the formation and toxicity alteration of halonitromethanes from nitrate containing humic acid water during UV/chlor(am)ine disinfection》和22级博士生王涛等的作品《Formation of brominated halonitromethanes from threonine involving bromide ion during the UV/chlorine disinfection》也荣获了研究生论文类一等奖。
本次赛事旨在提高江苏省给水排水及相关专业大学生的创新、创业与实践能力及运用所学知识解决科研与工程实践的能力，培养大学生的创新与创业意识，推动大学生教育与培养模式的改革。我院市政工程系近年来积极推进专业建设，在实践型、创新型、领军型的给排水专业人才培养上进行了有益的探索。
