美国旧金山州立大学陈城博士学术报告会

应我院邀请,美国旧金山州立大学陈城(Cheng Chen)博士将来我校访问并做题为“Real-Time Hybrid Simulation for Research towards Sustainable and Resilient Structures”的学术报告。学术报告将于2011613日(周一)下午3:00在逸夫建筑馆15楼大会议室举行(与Dan.M.Frangopol教授座谈会搭接)。陈城博士在2007年毕业于美国里海大学,致力于混合控制的数值算法及系统实现。毕业后,陈城博士继续于美国地震工程模拟网(NEES)里海大学站点进行实时混合控制的模拟研究。陈城博士在2009年加入美国旧金山州立大学任教,近年来的研究方向集中在大尺度结构抗震试验的设备装置、实时混合控制的可靠度分析、主动控制和半主动控制、结构防火等。已在ASCEJournal of Structure EngineeringJournal of Engineering Mechanics、Engineering Structures等国际著名学术刊物和会议发表论文20余篇。

 

 

Real-Time Hybrid Simulation for Research towards

 Sustainable and Resilient Structures

        Real-time hybrid simulation combines physical testing and numerical simulation to enable the complete structural system to be considered in an experiment. It therefore provides a viable experimental technique for dynamic testing of structural systems to evaluate their performance and design methodology so as to achieve sustainability and resilience under earthquakes. Different challenges however need to be tackled to enable this advanced experiment technique to become a standard procedure for structural engineering research. This seminar presents the previous and current on-going research work on real-time hybrid simulation. Experimental validation is presented through real-time hybrid simulations of moment resisting frame with magneto-rheological dampers.
