Non-diploma graduate education scheme, Southeast University (430140 project management)

    The programs offered include: two post-doctorial research stations, namely System Engineering and Management Science &Engineering; one doctoral-level discipline for the major of Management Science &Engineering, two doctoral disciplines II, namely System Engineering and Cvil Engineering Construction and Management, and four postgraduate's majors, namely System Engineering, Management Science &Engineering, Cvil Engineering Construction and Management, and Systems Analysis and Integration. Main research direction contains system engineering, management science and engineering, project management, international engineering contracting, real estate development and management, property management, etc.

A.Training Target

The goals of this program are: Train high-level application-type graduates in the field of management. Grasp the basic theories of the project management disciplines and the basic specialized knowledge in the related applied domains. Grasp the advanced technologies and methods in the application of project management. Master a foreign language to get more foreign materials and information related to this fields easily.

Southeast university postgraduate training scheme for non-diploma students (430130 Environmental Engineering (Master of Engineering))

The field is qualified for doctoral degree in Environmental Engineering as well as doctoral degree in Municipal engineering. Water pollution control & treatment research direction in Environmental engineering and the municipal engineering can be shared with the Civil engineering post-doctoral research stations. The group working in this field has undertaken work of National scientific research, the national natural science funds, Construction ministry of various funds, Science and Technology Department of Jiangsu province, the Office of the Bureau research projects, as well as enterprise commissioned funds. A lot of important scientific achievement items and the national patents have been gained.

A. The Training Goal 

The goal of this domain is that: Train high-level engineering technical and management personnel in the field of environmental engineering. Grasp the solid foundation for the theory, the extensive professional knowledge and the advanced scientific methods to solve engineering problems in the field of engineering. Have capabilities to solve the practical problems in environmental engineering and engage in new technology, new equipment and new product research and development. Be proficient in at least one foreign language.

C. Background Knowledge Requirements

Students should have a solid theoretical basis of environmental engineering expertise, including: mathematics, chemistry, physics, microbiology, fluid mechanics and environmental monitoring and so on, with other aspects of knowledge in the field of environmental engineering cutting-edge system expertise and depth of modern engineering technology literacy , as well as the environmental engineering research and technological development and innovation capabilities.

Southeast university postgraduate training scheme for non-diploma students (430114 architecture and civil engineering

This field offers two subjects: Architecture and Civil engineering. There are 2 doctoral degrees in the first-class discipline, 3 Post doctoral research centers, and 1 Education Ministry Key Laboratories with 3 academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS) and the Chinese Academy of Engineering (CAE) in this field. Architecture covers the field of architectural history and theory, architectural design and theory, urban planning and design (including Landscape Planning and Design), Building Science, and some other second-class national key disciplines. Civil Engineering covers the field of Engineering Mechanics, structural engineering, engineering construction, engineering management, municipal engineering, disaster prevention and reduction and protection engineering, geotechnical engineering, bridge engineering and other disciplines. It not only involves engineering discipline, but also connects economics, humanities, social sciences and Management Disciplines.

The object is mainly to cultivate students with ability to apply high-level technical and management in the field of Architecture and Civil Engineering. The students should have a broad knowledge of the expertise, a solid foundation for the theory , modern management knowledge and advanced technological methods. Also, they should be able to independently undertake sustainable development strategy in line with the Architecture and Civil engineering, Building and civil engineering design, construction and project management. It is essential for them to be proficient in Architecture and Civil engineering materials in foreign languages ​​and computer networks and other modern tools.

Modern structural design theory (including the housing structure, bridge structure, anti-seismic Engineering and Structure Strengthening) , Architectural design and theory , urban planning and design , large and complex civil engineering mechanics problems, Damage and Fault Diagnosis, Construction technology of Civil Engineering, Earthquake engineering structures, vibration control and dynamic diagnosis, Geotechnical Engineering Mechanics and underground structures, Engineering Project Management (including International Project Management), Estate investment and management , Water pollution control and treatment , Air Pollution Control, Reuse of Solid waste.

     Graduates are required to grasp the knowledge of architectural theory and urban planning and design theory, have a solid foundation of Mathematics and mechanics. Have a broad knowledge of Engineering, economic management, environmental science, basic computer, and so on. Grasp the methods and techniques of advanced technology to solve related problems. A good foreign language skill is necessary.
